How do I get my hair to stay down without using gel?

I’m a guy who’s hair won’t stay down unless I put a ton of gel on it, but it makes my hair all hard. I was wondering if there were any shampoo, condition, or any hair product I can use that will keep my hair down. I have that Asian hair gene where after I shower and dry my hair, it just stays up, I want it to be flat without it having to be long. I have short hair right now.

use leave in conditioner

use hair spray, or wax.

I am so glad you asked this question and I promise you I will have the best answer because I am a stylist!!!!!!!! Anyway, my favorite product line for men is called American Crew and you can buy it at most salons ………..ie. Fantastic Sam’s, Super Cuts, Great Clips etc. Anyway the exact product from that line is called grooming cream ! This product smells great and it is similar to a pomade but is less waxy and gives the hair a subtle shine. You only need to use an extremley small amount on your hair, also you need to put it on dry hair only. This will hold your hair however you want it without the stiff, flakey problems you can get when you use gel. This product will cost you around 13 to 15 dollars but will last you anywhere from six months to a year. TRUST ME ON THIS I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK

well the best hair products I use are CHI products, Lightweight and good.

Check there products for your profile. You want something lightweight but that gives you control

Why don’t you go for a spiky hairstyle instead? It would look so cute.
