Hi, Just wanted you to know that I also am very allergic to hair color. I’ve tried the Henna product and Aveda and I’m still allergic. So don’t know if that would be your answer either. mags
I have really curly hair, and when i was little my mom gave me bangs for stlye, long story short, i have been straightening my bangs for years and putting it to the side of my face. everytime they get thin, i just pull sum hair from the back and cut it to the same lengths and the rest of my bangs. Now my hair is so damaged that everyone is telling me to cut it all off!!! ive tried everything, but i dont make that much money to buy all these expensive things. ive tried not straighting it every day but im on the swim team. so i just try not to straighten it till the next day.
not only that!!!! but i have super curly hair…i have no idea what to do with it. the only time ive ever cut it was to even out the ends from time to time. i always have it in a pony tail. and when its curly its down to the bottem of my shoulder blades, but when i straighten it its down to the crack of my butt. i have no style for it, and when i do try sumthing its either not for me, looks horrble, or is just too time consuming or expensive!…..im not looking for perfect hair, just something that would make my hair look healthy, looks ok, and is quick……it sounds like its too much

Hi everyone!
I know a few people in your situation. I am consulting at the moment with a 15 year old girl and her mum. The young girl suffers from alopecia areata and is bold at 70%. Her mum contacted me because she was looking for an option easy on her daughter’s emotions because up til now, she was taping some hair pieces on the bold patches, but since they are getting bigger and bigger, they are considering going for a lace wig. I know you guys have great lace wigs resellers in the US (am in Europe). Have you ever thought about going for one?
Anti-frizz serum is gross! I have curley hair. I’ve worn it long, short, ironed out and (naturally) wild. But mostly, out of convenience, I wear it up. I have tried so many products to try and tame my hair and I am tired of wasting my money on empty promises. Anti-Frizz was one of the first products I tried (Jr. High/10 yrs ago) and all it did was leave my head GREASY! Who wants that!? I am in a RUT! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have soft silky wavy curls but I have been unable to achieve this look. My hair has NEVER been colored and is healthy but doesn’t look it because of the frizz! I’ve tried everything.. I am at a total loss PLEASE HELP!
I am 53 and letting my hair go grey. I love not having to color my hair and put up with the damage it does to it. I think I probably earned every single one of them, so hey!
I have a question for you. I wear my hair about shoulder length. So many women I know over 50 feel the need to tell me that “women over 50 don’t wear their hair long.” What would you respond?
Thank you both for your suggestions! ^_^ They’ve helped a great deal. Now I know I’ve been trimming my hair right. ^_^
Hi! I, too, am an avid adult swimmer. I tried everything as well to keep my hair dry, especially since we are swimming in chlorine water. Nothing works, However, I was also told by the lifeguards to put conditioner on my hair before I swim, and/or vaseline from the middle part down, all around the hair. What that does it lock in your hair, so to speak, from chlorine messing it up. Let’s face it, chlorine is a chemical, and it goes right onto our locks, and damages our hair. Make sure you use a good shampoo made for swimmers, and a good conditioner for the same purpose. Never, ever, get a perm, and then eventually go swimming, bathing cap or no bathing cap. I made the mistake of doing that, and it took almost two years for my hair to feel , and get back to normal again. With that said, swimming is an excellent sport, it moves every muscle in your body, and gives one a long, lean look, and I’m not that tall, but I feel longer and leaner from swimming. Good-Luck!!!!!
